I am a tutor with professional teaching experience who is passionate about educating. I can assist students in French, American history, European history, world history, literature, phonics, reading, writing, geography, social studies, English, and a multitude of other academic subjects. I received two degrees from Allegheny College, one in French and one in History. I have been teaching students for two years now. I've worked as a teaching assistant in French courses at Allegheny, tutored elementary school students, and worked in France as a university English professor. These experiences helped me realize that teaching is my calling. I am truly passionate about teaching and I want to help students achieve academic success. I went to a very small liberal arts college so I'm experienced working in small classroom and individual settings. I believe tutoring is an effective way of helping students overcome their learning challenges because students are able to receive the undivided attention of their tutor. I am a patient tutor and I will share my passion for learning with all of my students and work hard to ensure their success. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy reading good books, studying foreign languages, quilting, going on hikes, and cooking delicious food.
