Experience

From early childhood on, I've always loved to read and write. When I attended high school, I did my best work in the subject areas of language arts and social sciences. When it was time to attend college, I opted to major in Economics. While I was in college, I also received the opportunity to teach other college students in the area of writing and reading. My tutoring extended beyond mere grammar and sentence mechanics. I worked with students on improving their writing style and general writing ability. The focus was on improving their current assignments while ensuring that they became more masterful writers for the long term. One thing I like about tutoring is that I get the chance to provide personal instruction. After college graduation, I gained experience by working in editorial and creative positions in the publishing field. Topic areas I tutor in include Test prep, College Essays, Grammar and Mechanics, Phonics, Reading, Writing, Economics, Geography, Nursing, Business, Marketing, Management and more. When I am not tutoring, capture photographs, and read lots of great books.
