It is my fervent belief that every single student has the ability and desire to learn. However, that is sometimes unclear for a lot of students in their learning careers. A bad day, an unsupportive teacher, or one confusing subject can make any student feel sad and as if there's no point in trying to learn that particular subject.In my opinion, being a tutor offers a unique opportunity to shift the attitude of the student towards whatever subject they are studying. I pride myself on being able to know about my students' lives outside the classroom, so I can more easily figure out how they learn best. Tutoring offers me an even better opportunity to have a trusting relationship with my students, so that we can hopefully remove some frustration and help them to portray more confidence, not only in class, but in life.I attended both SUNY Oneonta and SUNY Albany, and I am qualified to tutor in the following subjects: geometry, reading, public speaking, earth science, life sciences, biology, chemistry, and astronomy. I can also tutor in a number of other subjects as well.I love the outdoors; I enjoy fishing, kayaking, and pretty much all outdoor sports.
