Private tutor in Boston, MA
University of Chicago - Bachelor in Arts, Economics, Sociology , Arizona State University - PHD, Biology, Neuroscience
In my current teaching position at Arizona State, I am teaching undergraduate biology laboratory classes. In this position, I have taught many different courses including Freshman Biology, Human Anatomy, and Animal Physiology.Although I have only been teaching these classes for 7 semesters, previous positions I have held were teaching and tutoring in the Chicago Public School System. My students were able to comprehend the material and solve problems on their own. I have also been involved in mentoring undergraduate students who needed assistance in completing lab work with their own neurosciences and research projects. As a student at the University of Chicago, I carried a full course load including Math and Statistics, Social Sciences, and Humanities. I received my Undergraduate Degree in Economics and Sociology at University of Chicago. I am currently attending Arizona State University to obtain my PhD in Biology and Neurosciences. My teaching background allows me to tutor in Math, Science, English, and Social Sciences. My style of tutoring is proactive and supportive; I believe that the key to a child's learning is the way he or she is taught. I work with my students until they are confident they can solve a problem on their own.
