Private tutor in Boston, MA

Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, where I majored in English. I minored in Justice & Peace, a Georgetown certification program focusing on international law and human rights. I am currently working in criminal justice and public affairs, and my long-term goal is to work in victim rights advocacy. I have been tutoring all throughout my college education, and have participated in Washington, D.C. and Galway, Ireland programs focusing on literacy. I have also tutored adults studying for their GED tests and assisted migrant workers with ESL skills. I am able to tutor subjects like statistics, government, psychology, and French. I have also assisted students in preparing for standardized tests like the SAT and various AP examinations. I enjoy building positive relationships with each of my students by discovering the topics that interest them. Engaging with students' interests during each session helps the students feel invested in the process, and makes learning a previously challenging concept fun! I have a deep love of the written word, and I aim to pass that love along to each of my students. In my free time, I enjoy reading for pleasure, following current events, practicing yoga, and playing lacrosse.
