Private tutor in Boston, MA
Hamilton College - Bachelors, Physices , Tufts University - Current Grad Student, Biomedical Science
I went to Hamilton College to earn my graduate degree in physics. I love science, but I also enjoy working directly with people. As I was finishing up my undergraduate degree, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I'm now attending Tufts University for my masters degree in biomedical sciences, and I'm currently taking medical coursework. My teaching experience includes working for two years as a SAT prep coach for high school students, where I put together lesson plans and practice questions. I also tutored as a high school student, assisting peers at the high school and middle school level with understanding of course material and homework. I like to help students develop learning and problem solving skills so that they can better understand and retain information and find answers on their own. I also relate concepts we study to things the students enjoy to make them easier to retain. I'm comfortable tutoring students in a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, pre-algebra, Mandarin Chinese, biology, chemistry, cell biology, biochemistry, physics, MCAT preparation, SAT preparation, and others. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the city of Boston, spending time outdoors, watching television and movies, and playing ping-pong.
