I've worked in an AmeriCorps program where I worked as both mentor and tutor to students, along with another teacher. During this time, I've worked in English and Math classrooms and helped students who had difficulty in their studies learn critical and logical thinking, and develop a greater understanding of the subject they were pursuing. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them grow confident in their abilities as they expand and learn more. I believe education is the key to a better life, and it's my goal to deliver that to my students. I graduated from Denison University. There I earned my degree in Political Science and minored in Sociology. Among the subjects I'm skilled in teaching, I can assist students in Geometry, Algebra 1-2, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, African American History, Political Science, African History, Elementary School Math, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Study Skills, and Organizational Skills for students who need extra help. I provide homework support too and help students make the most of their study time. Although I love working and studying, I enjoy relaxing. I love to kick back and read a book, listen to music, or watch my favorite TV shows. If I want a change of pace, I watch a movie.
