Experience

I love teaching, and I've been helping kids since I was a high school student. I have teaching experience and tutoring experience, and I'm always looking for opportunities to help students learn and an environment that is fun, interesting, and rewarding. My specialties are writing and reading, and I've helped everyone from kindergarten students to adults in these subjects. I also have experience with test preparation, both in helping students drill on the material as well as developing test taking skills. I love psychology, and I leverage my experience in graduate school studying human development to customize my approach to the learning needs of each student that I work with. I can tutor students in elementary level math, ESL and ELL, reading, English, essays, literature, English grammar, critical reading, Spanish, and test preparation for the PSAT, ACT, GRE, SAT, and others. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, running, and hiking.
