I am a professional finance and risk consultant. I tutor because I enjoy being around students who are determined to succeed. I strive to help them learn without wasting as much time as they would if they learned through trial and error. I have a results oriented teaching style that focuses on improving the student's understanding of the concepts in a no nonsense way. My experiences as a tutor have given me a thorough understanding of the best ways to teach students of all learning styles. My students often go on to achieve entry into top NYC and Ivy League schools. I am capable of tutoring students in trigonometry, algebras 1 through 4, economics, and business, among other courses. While I primarily tutor math, I also teach students important study and test-taking skills that will improve their performance in school. As a tutor, I believe that any student can benefit from private one-on-one tutoring that is focused on their success. Whether my student needs to review for an entrance exam's math section or improve their grasp of key concepts, I can work with them to fill in any gaps they may have. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy bartending, writing, and mentoring others in fitness.
