Education

BA, Theatre Arts, Gordon College 2009. During this time I also tutored in an after school program in Lynn, and interned at a school in the Boston School District teaching greek theatre. MA, Theatre Education, Emerson College, 2017. While in my Masters I studied how storytelling informs societies of meanings and values. I specifically looked at religious narratives including ancient myths.

Experience

I have been teaching for over ten years in areas ranging from elementary education (math, science, reading, writing, and history) as well as classic, literature, theatre, and arts. After graduating from college I began teaching middle school as well as working in Philadelphia schools in arts integration. After moving to Boston I began my masters studies at Emerson College in Theatre Education. During this time I also tutored young children in reading, writing, science, history and interview prep for some of the top private schools in the area. In addition I specialize in working with bilingual families with students ages 4-8 in enhancing their child's English language skills.

Hobbies

I have a strong background in performance, and singing. Although I never pursued either professionally I have performed in community theatre shows in the area. I also love puzzles, and board games. My all time favorite book series is Harry Potter, and while I have been to Disney a few times I am yet to see Harry Potter World!
