Private tutor in Boston, MA

Education

High School Honors Program at Boston University (1999) B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Law at Binghamton University SUNY (2007) J.D. at St. Thomas University School of Law (2010) LL.M in Taxation at Boston University School of Law (expected 2011)

Experience

In college, I provided private tutoring in SAT (math) and TOEFL to high school and international students. More recently, I was a Dean's Fellow in Federal Income Taxation course in law school. I led weekly tutorial sessions focusing on learning strategies and exam preparation. My tutoring strategies focus on test taking skills, time management, and organization. Serving in the Marine Corps has taught me the three elements to success: discipline, preparation, and training. It is my core belief that any goal is attainable if you are organized, prepared, and willing to dedicate yourself. For many students, learning math and preparing for the SAT can often be a stressful experience. However, learning a systematic approach to complex problems and dissolving them into tractable solutions can help any student achieve optimal results.
