Experience
I recently earned a degree in Neuroscience from Boston University. I am now in training to become an actuary. My educational experiences have helped me to become a great tutor in a wide array of subjects. I began tutoring when I was only in the eighth grade, and nine years ago, I began volunteer-tutoring students in Chemistry and Mathematics. I then began branching out into tutoring a variety of subjects, including Neuroscience, Statistics, Psychology, and even the Korean language. I also have experience teaching beginning swimming lessons to young children. When I begin tutoring with a new student, I first work to determine their unique style of learning. I then develop a teaching style that matches their learning style. For example, some students learn best with a visual approach, while some students learn best when concepts are broken down into simple words. Finding out how a student learns best can then help me teach them material that they were struggling to learn in the past. In my free time, I enjoy playing the electric guitar and alto saxophone. I also like to stay in shape by swimming laps or working out in the gym. In addition, I enjoy a great movie or television show on Netflix.
