Experience
I earned a bachelor's degree in English from Columbia University in New York City. My teaching experience includes classes in public speaking, creative writing, and improvisational comedy. As a tutor, I have worked with students in math, English, history, literature, public speaking, and creative writing. I can also tutor poetry, journalism, persuasive writing, expository writing, fiction writing, and literary analysis. My lifelong passion is creative writing. When I tutor, I give full respect to the focus and seriousness that is required in order to achieve success. However, I also inject some humor into it as well. If the student is stressed, this eases the level of anxiety and it makes the entire process more fun for everyone. (It is worth noting that while I was a Columbia, I wrote for comedies.) I live in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts. When I am not tutoring, I have several interests that all are connected to some type of artistic influence. You can often find me watching new films and filling a seat at the theater. I enjoy going to visual art shows. And, when I can, I learn more about creative writing and produce freelance analyst pieces for different movie studios.
