Experience
As a tutor, I enjoy working with students to develop a strong learning plan that I use to help guide their motivation and determination to reach their academic success. Seeing the excitement in their eyes as they start to understand a subject is instantly gratifying to me, and motivates me to work even harder for my students. I interact with my students as a team member, and encourage them to work as a team with me to drive their success and build their self-esteem. My passion for empowering students to learn is just part of who I am. I've always loved teaching students and decided to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a Master of Arts in Teaching at Northeastern University. I'm now teaching Science and Math to high school students at Arlington High School, where I'm able to interact and help students every day.I'm able to tutor in several subjects, including Algebra 1, Arithmetic, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Elementary Math, Geometry, Precalculus, Chemistry, Physics, Study Skills and Organization, and Math. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy going cross country, running track, playing a few rounds of golf, stretching my brain with chess, and becoming involved in a great debate.
