After graduation, I took up a position for one year as a teaching assistant in the English Department. As a graduate TA I was qualified to teach, tutor and mentor students as they strove to succeed in their English courses. I gained experience in tutoring at all levels, varying from those functioning at a high school level to those who would have no problem keeping up with a graduate school level course. No matter what level, there is always something to teach and something to be learned in return. I grew so much as a teacher during my time as a TA, that now I can't wait to get back to tutoring and mentoring others.
