ExperienceBack in high school, I tutored a classmate and helped her excel at her SAT.
In college, working in Rice's Academic Advising for Athletics Office, I have tutored several fellow students. I was also the teacher of a student-taught course at Rice University, giving lectures to a group of 20 students.
After college, for more than a year, I worked as a part-time trainer and tutor at a center in Houston. At the same time, I have tutored up to twenty-five long-term students over different subjects, and all have been very satisfied with the results.
I have just begun my study as a first year dental student at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
I like teaching because I have enjoyed learning myself and I wish to help others love it too. Motivating students and seeing them improve have been joyful experience for me.

After just one session, my daughter already has a clearer understanding of chemistry. Very effective tutor!
Renee is one of the best tutors I've ever had. She was very nice, patient and clearly explained any question I had. With her help, I was able to get a 100 on my homework assignment and passed my final exam. I definitely recommend her to everyone.
Renee contacted me immediately. She was accommodating in working with our schedule and agreed to meet us on short notice. My daughter abhors geometry, consequently she has clearly put up a mental wall-block whenever numbers are involved. Renee explains the material in clear and simple steps which helped break down some of those walls. In addition, she also showed her different ways to solve the same equation. I appreciate the way Renee also engages my daughter by asking questions & having her explain how she arrived at a particular answer. I will definitely ask her to meet with us on a weekly basis. I am thankful for Renee's quick assistance, patience and the excellent teaching style.
In the 2 sessions with Renee, my daughter's average has improved by 14 points. Gemeotry went from grade 70 to grade 84.
Renee is great! She explains everything in a way that I immediately understand and teaches helpful tips that my professor doesn't talk about in class. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing help with organic chemistry.
Renee is truly wonderful! Our son experienced a twenty point improvement in his test score after just a month of tutoring. She is patient, kind and a truly excellent teacher. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
