| Experience: | Hello all,
My name is Tara and I am in my senior year at Northeastern University.
I HAVE BEEN A VERY SUCCESSFUL TUTOR FOR STANDARIZED TESTS LIKE SAT, GRE AND GMAT AND I HAVE HELPED MANY TO IMPROVE THEIR MATH SCORES.
I took my GRE test recently and scored 1510 out of 1600: 800 in Quant. and 710 in verbal.
I am especially a math tutor. My major is biotechnology but math has always been my great passion. So, students who have difficulty with mathematics and those who are enthusiastic about exploring math are welcome. I really love to share my knowledge and experience in math with others.
My focus will be not only on solving problems that students ask, but guiding them how to tackle problems of all difficulty levels. I also teach effective ways of learning math and short cut ways for calculations and provide tips to memorize things easily. I always make my tutoring sessions both fun and productive and have been able to teach students with very poor to strong academic backgrounds with equal success.
I also have a decent experience with teaching the math section of SAT, GRE, GMAT etc.
Experience:
Tutored algebra and physics at Northeastern University
Tutored students for SAT,GRE and GMAT
Helped students with English for ESL and TOEFL exams at St. Xavier’s college, Nepal (Volunteer)
Served as a columnist in a national daily, The Himalayan Times in Nepal for over a year
Tutoring for me is not just sharing fish with others but teaching them how to fish.

| thank you so much. Evan was struggling with calculus and along came Tara. We calls when he is supposed to and always is avalible and follows through. Evan thinks he is awesome and explains everything so perfectly. Evan just had a midterm and said it would have been very difficult if not for Tara. Thank you so much for putting a distant parent's concerns behind us. He's a great contact. thanks, ellen |
